B Wise

Since breaking onto the scene in 2013, B Wise has been praised as one of Australia’s most important voices. At a time when the scene was going through a much needed shake up, the Nigerian-Australian artist emerged as a wildcard in Australian hip hop, and made his impact felt immediately, spearheading a cultural shift within a changing musical landscape.

Born to a Nigerian father and Australian mother, B Wise grew up between Sydney’s South West, Nigeria and rural NSW. He has spent his career representing the diverse voices of Western Sydney and offering a new insight into the ‘Australian experience’: growing up in the suburbs, facing challenges unique to the POC community up against the ropes and moreover, detailing the loyalty one has to their roots through it all.
